Star Trek #1 Sign & Grading

Postby mrsnyder » Wed Mar 29, 2017 2:59 pm

New to comics - have a Star Trek #1 that I will have William Shatner sign. Is it better to have a company like JSA authenticate the signature with their sticker on the front cover or not at all? Ask as my reading says CGC won't authenticate the signature but will regrade coming (already bought as a 3.0). Any help is appreciated.

JSA will place their sticker on the front cover of the book? Am I reading this right?

I don't know where your having this book signed but if a CGC witness is present at the signing then it will receive authentication.

JSA places stickers on the surface where it's signed, so yes, it would be on the front cover.

Wow, People actually pay them to damage their books? What morons!
Never let someone put a sticker on your book.

The best route would be to have an authorized witness get it signed and submitted.
Or you could get it signed yourself, then submit it to CBCS's verified signature program.
I think getting the AW to get it done might be the more economical method.
