Re: Len Wein has passed away

Remembering some cool Len Wein stories - From Dan Greenfield's 13th Dimension blog Comics Pros Pick Their Favorite Stories By Len Wein For me, it’s simple: My favorite Len Wein stories come from his 1979-’80 run on Batman, a terrific if underrated period for the Darknight Detective. Wein utilized no...

Those are all great covers IMO. CM #26 is one of my faves from the 20¢ Marvel era.

You should consider adding Spidey Super Stories #39 to your want list. :)

Re: Hulkverine?? smh

Do the young readers like this? I think that's who they're trying to attract with this re-hash of classic characters. Not for us old fogies. I think you're probably right. I'm sure if I were ten or twelve and relatively new to the tights & capes genre I'd be more receptive to this kind of thing...

Re: The Jack Kirby Appreciation Thread

I love that drawing- Mike Royer signed my copy from Dark Horse Presents #103. Did Mike Royer ink that? I hadn't really considered who might have done inks. I know Don Heck inked some Kirby art in the 60's that was outside the realm of Marvel. I'd guess this piece fell between Jack's first stint at ...

No, I don't have any OA of note. I really like seeing OA as I often prefer it over the final(colored) versions. The pencils and inks just stand out more IMO.

And that was Tim Vigil that drew the sea monster, Steve.
I stumbled across his videos on youtube, and loved his inking style. His 'Faust' video is my favorite.

Thanks for the reply. I know the name, but am not familiar with his work. I'll have to look up his yt stuff.

Because of Photon or just being a team-up with Spidey?

I also liked that other teenaged 'R.R.' superhero Ronnie Raymond (Firestorm)

If these are real tandems that actually happened, I might have to go with John Bucsema/Ernie Chan. Particularly enjoyed their Conan work.

If you go with CGC you'll get a "Qualified" or Green Label. CBCS offers Sig verification without a witness if you go that route. I'm not a fan of PGX as there's just too much negative baggage attached to that name. If your concern is future value I'm guessing any appreciable difference bet...

Maybe it all boils down to aesthetics, but the default on a mobile device doesn't look nice imo. I joined this site from a laptop and continue to view it from one, but on occasion would look at it from an iPhone and would regrettably close the site due to it's display. I think the problem is with an...

It's hard to think of the Inhumans as a $100 comic. :???: Movies and TV have really influenced the comic market in ways I never expected. And think, there's still undiscovered "treasure" with some random first appearances from the 70's & 80's waiting to grab the market's attention.

Would that Thumper #243 be considered a "Canadian White" as opposed to just a Canadian edition?
