Re: CBCS graded book gallery

I don't mean to monopolize here. Any one else want to post some books please do so... :flowery: A few more books back from CBCS last week. First up is ASM 185 - Peter graduates from college http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r572/comicflash/cbcs%20graded%20books/ASM1850001_zpsb853c3cc.jpg One of m...

Re: Bad packaging from Ebay sellers… grrrr

From my CGC Forum FEEDBACK thread: Just bought a stack of SA Fantastic Four books from Scott. Accurate grading, great prices, and an insanely awesome packing job! Kudos I received a gorgeous package of books from Scott. I cannot even begin to express how well packed these were - an art form for sur...

Just use your best judgement. Err on the low side. If CGC thinks it's past the $200 ceiling they will call you and give you options.

Re: News from CBCS

CGC really sucks. Why anyone would use such an arrogant and incompetent company is beyond me. :) Because slabbing books often times meant more money and/or easier to sell - and until recently options for third party grading and certification were limited. CGC's explanation reposted above is nonsens...

Re: News from CBCS

The thing that I admire about Steve as the head of CBCS and when he was leading CGC is that he is a great ambassador for the company. He's up front with issues and answers personally. There's great expense in what CBCS is doing but I believe that in the end the benefits of these initial hiccups will...

Re: CGC rolling Modern Tier back to 1975

The reason is purely money. Probably because they can squeeze out more $$ for some of the top books of the era: Giant Size X-Men 1 (almost 5,000 graded copies) and X-Men 94 (about 4,000 graded copies), which have huge quantities graded all the time. I thought Hulk 181 was in that boat too, but it wa...

Re: My first submission...

Honestly, I didn't see any evidence on the outer box or the inner box that there was any impact to cause that problem in the corner. Even when you tried to hit it into position, it still didn't budge. The package itself seems very well protected, so I tend to think it was something else. Maybe while...

Re: *GASP!* Raw Signatures! Can I get a Witness? Do I need o

Well, I already posted a dozen EC autographs in the EC thread, so I won't post those here. Instead, here's a Frank Miller from Wolverine's 1st mini series: http://i57.tinypic.com/2mr8ihk.jpg Frank Miller must sign in a few different ways. I'm sure most of you get the CGC newsletters and other info but it struck be odd that they are hyping the Action 1 more than the actual owner himself.
