Re: Looking for name of comic about a drug that gives super powers

Huh, that's funny, my first guesses were either The Boys or something by Warren Ellis from Avatar. Sure I can't prove that I was right now  Juan Jose Ryp is one of my top underrated current artists.

Re: It's Your Friendly Neighborhood Singaporean!

Very happy to 'meet' you! I'm also a Spidey can, but I stopped reading his titles (and pretty much all titles) around issue 375. When I returned to the hobby 10 years ago, I really didn't care for the product Marvel was putting out, and decided to stick with the comics and eras that I liked. Shame....

Re: Secret Wars #8

I don't get it... I thought this was the first appearance on Venom? Or do they not consider the symbiote Venom until he bonds with someone else other than Spider-Man? Easy mistake to make if you weren't buying comics off the rack at the time. Secret Wars #8 came out 8 months after the books Sigs me...

Yes but now you'll get Legacy Numbering!

If I could get legacy characters by legacy creators creating legacy art and stories, I might give a fucking shit.

I've really enjoyed Ragnarok, it's not some lame Marvel Thor rip-off. Long time between story arcs tho.

Or contact Bungie I know they just started releasing a comic book about their game. Yeah, try Budgie! https://w...

Thanks, Stu  I'm debating whether or not to finish the run past the Wrightson issues. I suppose there's no rush since they're priced like non-Wrightson issues. The #1 was supposed to be signed on the slash page, but I suspected that was a listing error because there was no image. I pulled the ...

From the CBCS website: "The books are then sealed into CBCS’s archival safe inner holder." If you're not busy, I'd love to see you go to their forum and prove that they are lying about their cases being archival safe. :P I bet a guy named DocBrown over there would join in on the discussio...

Re: CBCS and Micro Chamber Paper

I would never ever store a comic book inside any mylar bag or slabbed enclosure and consider it a final, archival solution for long-term storage without MC paper. CBCS does. What's your opinion on them? Remember Borock has been president of both companies. (I would extend that to having the comic p...

There was a way to do it without being a subscriber. I can't remember the steps but t...

That show came back because of kickstarter? Sure did! I believe it is still the most successful movie/video crowd funding project ever: It was supposed to be 12 episodes but it went so well they made enough $$ for 14 episodes. They are on Netflix right now. http://www.slashfilm.com/mystery-science-...

No I don't believe you have to pay kickstarter anything. Just have to basically hold your hand out to the internet and hope people donate And sometimes that's a beautiful thing 8-) https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BZjc0NGY5NzQtZWU5YS00NzY5LTk2YzMtMmYwZmYzNTAwNTZjXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyN...

Re: How to sort my old Image comics by release date

Hey, guys. I'm a big fan of the early 90s Image comics. I've got a pretty good collection of everything they published for the first few years. I've read chunks of it sporadically, but I'd like to take a stab at reading through in order of publishing. Both because of the cool shared universe story ...

Re: Quentin Tarantino Almost Directed a Comic Book Movie (More Than Once)

Comic book films are arguably the most popular and bankable movie genre of the last decades, so it's no surprise that most big name directors in Hollywood have had offers to make comic book movies, and Tarantino is no exception. In fact, he's thought of making THREE comic book movies throughout his...
